About Rogues Gallery

Rogues Gallery is an independent arts salon, gallery, reading library and creative studio in Budapest's 8th District. Founded by actor, writer and artist Scott Alexander Young, Rogues Gallery was created as a home for artists, storytellers, performers and curious minds. Part exhibition space, part cultural salon, part working studio, it is a place where art is displayed, conversations unfold, and new projects are born.

The gallery presents a changing programme of exhibitions, talks, readings and special events, while also serving as the headquarters for a growing slate of creative projects in film, television, publishing and digital media.

At the heart of the space is the László Egyed Reading Library, a curated collection devoted to Picasso, modern art and the great traditions of European painting.

Arrivals & Departures

The gallery's debut exhibition featured portrait photographer Victoria Perger. That was followed by the Black Valentine Exhibition by Budapest resident Romanian artist, Ela Daple. Her "relics of the future" made a strong showing at the gallery. The Animal Portraits Exhibition by Frederick Haddox closed on July 3rd, after two months of its untamed spirit. One thing for sure - we certainly know how to open a show.
